HCMP entering the stream - there was a bit of a rocky slope.

HCMP entering the stream - there was a bit of a rocky slope.   It was pretty shallow.   My turn...   It was a little deeper than I thought and I ended up smacking my LCA on a rock. No damage to the arm but a big chink out of the rock.   Then one of the branches half tore my fender flare off...   Lonewolf crossing the stream...   Geoff giving some kind of gang sign...   The view from my seat.   The lower part of a rutted, muddy hill.   The top of the same hill.   The lower part of the rut. I could not get up this, even with Jeremy tugging me. Geoff suggested we air down - duh! Once I aired down I drove right up it.   There was a lot of walking through the woods looking for a trail that was free of downed trees.   A typical HCMP parking spot.   Eventually, we made our way back almost to the stream and took a side trail.   Jeremy climbing the hill.   Later, on a different trail off the 'Mud Trail', this puddle was surprisingly deep.   This is what it looked like when Geoff went through - the Pathy is under there somewhere...   On a section we visited the previous day - off-camber in the rainy dusk.   Lonewolf attacking a nearby incline.   Moments later, he had popped a bead.   I towed him up to a flat spot and we started changing the tire. It was pouring and dark by the time we were done.

HCMP(Amigo), Lonewolf(Pathfinder) and I(Hardbody) met up in southeast Vermont for another day of wheeling. We went out to the "Mud Trail", took a side trail down and headed north for a bit to check out some trails we saw on the topo. We found a couple of trails - one with a stream crossing and some hillclimbs and plenty of "logcrawling". I think Jeremy might have bent something under his rig by getting a bunch of logs jammed up there.
Later in the day after Jeremy left, Geoff and I played around on some more local trails. Near dusk, Geoff ended up popping a bead on his tire. It had been raining for hours but it began to pour around then. Geoff ended up having some tierod damage and so did I. The worst part for me was cleaning the mud off. In fact, I hosed it off somewhat then left it for a couple of days until it wasn't raining so I could work on it and when I opened it up, a swarm of blackflies flew out. I guess they had been breeding in the mud in, on and under my truck.
